Coastal Flats was delicious. The service was great and the atmosphere was inviting. Pictured: Pineapple juice, Deviled eggs with bacon and pecans and Beef ribs with sweet potato fries and coleslaw. Did I say delicious ? The food was so delicious !

We had an incredibly enjoyable experience at Coastal Flats. Our server, Geffrey, was attentive and polite. The food was fresh and delicious. We especially enjoyed the deviled eggs and bread.

Today I am visiting the Fairfax area and was looking for a place for dinner. A quick Google search and Coastal Flats popped up. Food pics looked good, so off I went. Upon walking in I was greeted by a young lady at the hostess station, asked if I could eat at the bar and she said absolutely! This is where the magic happened, the bartender promptly greeted me, asked me my name, then he introduced himself as Murphy and shook my hand! I was actually very pleasantly surprised by that. Very nice Murphy! Getting to the food. I was in a toss up over eating fish and chips or getting the lobster salad. He said the salad was fantastic, so I went for it. The salad was excellent! Very fresh, visually appealing. I dug in and enjoyed every bite of it. The deviled egg on the side put it over the top! Definitely would recommend 100 percent. I'm sure the locals are already used to this place, but for a person on business travel, the hospitality, food and atmosphere was top notch. Coastal Flats will definitely be on my list of places to visit when I'm the Fairfax area. Thank you guys for a great experience, see you on the next trip!

My mom and I came here for lunch because we were in the area for the Charlie Puth concert at Eaglebank Arena. It was recommended #1 to us by our friends who lived in Fairfax for 25 years. Everything, everyone, and all the food/drinks were incredible! We had so much fun chatting with the staff - you know you're in the right place when the staff are enjoying eachother and their customers. We had the calamari, lobster bisque, chicken salad and bread basket..all DELICIOUS! I haven't found this caliber of calamari on the East Coast! Can't wait to come back again!

Coastal Flats is nothing short of transcendent. From the first moment to the final bite, it was a culinary experience that felt almost spiritual. The seafood was the freshest this side of heaven — pristine, vibrant, and prepared with reverence. The seared tuna was pure poetry on a plate. Expertly seared, delicately seasoned, and melt-in-your-mouth tender. One bite in, and my soul danced a full jig. It was that good. Every detail — the presentation, the pacing, the energy in the room — felt intentional and elevated. If you’re looking for seafood that awakens your palate and leaves a lasting impression, this is your sanctuary. I will be back — and often.
